Metalsmithing 4-week Masterclass | Every Monday Night in October 2026

Details: This immersive 4-week masterclass is designed for beginners and aspiring jewelry makers who want to build real skills while creating beautiful, wearable pieces they’ll be proud to show off.

Each week, you’ll learn a new metalsmithing technique as you create a one-of-a-kind jewelry project. By the end of the series, you’ll have developed a strong foundation in jewelry fabrication while leaving with an incredible handmade collection, all created by you!

Week 1: Sterling Silver Stacker Rings (October 5th 6pm-8pm)

Kick off your metalsmithing journey by creating three sterling silver stacker rings. You’ll learn the fundamentals of jewelry making, including measuring and sizing rings, cutting metal, filing, shaping, texturing, torch soldering, polishing, and finishing.

Week 2: Enameled Copper Earrings (October 12th 6pm-8pm)

Learn the art of enameling while creating a stunning pair of colorful copper earrings (you can mix metals and make silver ear wires if you have sensitive ears). You’ll use a jeweler’s saw to cut your own earring shapes from copper sheet before exploring enamel techniques to add color. You’ll finish your earrings with professional-quality findings and leave with a truly one-of-a-kind pair.

Week 3: Sterling Silver Gemstone Ring (October 19th 6pm-9pm)

Take your skills to the next level by creating a beautiful sterling silver gemstone ring. You’ll learn how to solder a bezel, set a cabochon stone, and fabricate a statement ring.

Week 4: Wax Carving & Bronze Casting (October 26th 6pm-9pm) 

Discover the fascinating world of lost wax casting! You’ll carve your own custom ring from jeweler’s wax, which will then be professionally cast in solid bronze. Bronze casting is included in the class but not done during the class, with the option to upgrade to sterling silver after your ring is weighed. 

What You’ll Take Home

By the end of this four-week experience, you’ll have created:

• Three sterling silver stacker rings
• One sterling silver gemstone ring
• One pair of handcrafted enameled copper earrings
• One custom cast bronze ring (with optional sterling silver upgrade)

Whether you’re looking to discover a new hobby or build a strong foundation in metalsmithing, this masterclass offers the perfect opportunity to learn multiple jewelry-making techniques in a fun, supportive studio environment. All materials and tools are included, and no prior experience is necessary, just bring your creativity!!
